Namahage is a traditional event on the Oga Peninsula where every year on New Year's Eve, a man wearing an ogre mask goes from house to house shouting, “Are there any lazy people here? to pray for family safety and good health, and is registered as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage.
