Daisen Senboku Area

About Daisen Senboku Area

An inspiring trip to Daisen and Senboku, where festivals and nature are woven together

The Daisen-Senboku area is a tourist destination where nature and tradition intersect in each of the four seasons. Daisen City holds one of Japan's three largest fireworks festivals, the Omagari Fireworks Festival, every summer, where a powerful display of fireworks colors the night sky.

In Senboku City, visitors can experience the beauty of Lake Tazawa and the streets of Kakunodate, lined with samurai residences, and experience the scenery of good old Japan.

Also, climbing Mt. Akita Komagatake and relaxing in Nyuto Onsen-kyo (hot spring resort) are attractive. The Daisen-Senboku area, with its rich natural environment and traditional culture, offers a memorable experience for foreign tourists visiting the area.
