About Hirosakijo(Castle)
Hirosaki Castle is a historical landmark located in Hirosaki City, Aomori Prefecture, and is known as one of the three most famous castles in Japan. The castle was built in 1611 during the early Edo period as the residence of the Tsugaru clan. The existing castle tower was rebuilt in 1810 during the middle of the Edo period (1603-1868), and is one of the few surviving ones in Japan.
