About Aidu Area

A journey through time in the Aizu area, a treasure trove of history and nature

The Aizu area is a tourist destination surrounded by rich history and beautiful nature. Tsurugajo Castle, in particular, is known as the site of a fierce battle during the Boshin War at the end of the Edo period, and its beautiful white castle tower is a must-see for history buffs.

In Ouchi-juku, the scenery of an Edo period inn town still remains, and visitors can experience a time-slip back in time. Furthermore, the majestic Mt. Bandai and Lake Inawashiro offer hiking, skiing, and other outdoor activities throughout the four seasons.

Aizu's hot springs and local cuisine are also attractive, providing unforgettable travel memories for foreign tourists.
