About Genbikei
Genbikei is a beautiful valley located in Ichinoseki City, Iwate Prefecture, and is a tourist attraction with spectacular scenery created by nature. The 2-kilometer-long gorge was formed by the clear waters of the Iwai River over a long period of time, and the strange rocks, huge boulders, and waterfalls that rise up on both sides of the river are in perfect harmony and fascinate visitors.
