About Kamigamo Shrine

Kamigamo Shrine is one of the oldest shrines in Kyoto, located in Kita-ku, Kyoto City, and officially known as Kamowakeikazuchi Shrine. 678, and was registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1994 for its history and cultural value as a "cultural property of the ancient capital of Kyoto". The shrine is located in the center of the city and is the largest shrine in Kyoto.

The most distinctive feature of Kamigamo Shrine is its vast grounds and beautiful natural environment.
