Yoshino

About Yoshino

Yoshino, a hidden village in Nara where cherry blossoms and history weave together to heal the soul.

Nara's Yoshino area is known as one of the best cherry blossom viewing spots in Japan, with a spectacular view of 1,000 cherry trees at a glance in spring. Yoshinoyama has long been a place of religious worship, and is dotted with historic temples and shrines such as Kinpusenji Temple and Yoshimizu Shrine. In addition to the beautiful natural scenery that can be enjoyed throughout the four seasons, local specialties such as Yoshino kuzu (arrowroot starch) are also very attractive.
